Framed doors have a full metal frame surrounding all glass panels — more wall tolerance, more hardware visible. Semi-frameless has a minimal frame track with a clean sliding door. Frameless pivot and sliding use only pivot hardware or a track, with no surrounding frame — just thick 3/8" tempered glass creating a seamless, luxury look.
71.5" is standard and budget-friendly. 76" improves water containment and aesthetics noticeably. 78" is trending in frameless sliding and looks excellent in most bathrooms. 80" creates a near-ceiling dramatic effect. Heights 84" and above require an on-site measurement to ensure proper structural support and fit.
Frameless pivot doors require relatively plumb and level walls — typically within 1/4" tolerance. Frameless sliding systems have some built-in adjustment. Framed and semi-frameless systems offer the highest wall tolerance. During your free measurement visit, we check plumb and level and will tell you exactly which styles work for your space.
3/8" tempered glass is standard for frameless doors and feels substantial and high-end. 1/2" glass is heavier, even more rigid, and creates a distinctly premium feel — typically used in custom enclosures. Both are safety-rated tempered glass. The difference is mostly tactile and visual weight.
Most installations are completed in 1–2 days. The timeline includes: free measurement visit, fabrication/ordering period (typically 1–3 weeks depending on the system), and installation day. Custom enclosures may require a template visit before fabrication, adding a few days to the process.
