Visit & written quote
We measure the alcove, check the substrate for moisture or soft drywall, confirm the drain location and recommend a tier and color. The price is written and locked before we start.
- Day 1
Demo & substrate
The old surround comes out and the substrate is inspected. Soft or moisture-damaged board is replaced with cement board, and the seams and floor transition get a waterproofing membrane.
- Day 2 · Shower ready
Surround install
Panels fitted, joints engaged and sealed with silicone. Valve, drain and fixtures installed, then a water test before the installers leave.

A Smart Start acrylic shower typically installs in 2 days. Day 1 covers demolition and substrate preparation; Day 2 the surround, valve, fixtures and final seal. Your timeline is confirmed in writing before work starts.
Only through a change order you approve in writing — your written quote is the price. If something unexpected is found during demolition, work stops, it is photographed, a written change order is issued, and you approve it before anything continues.
Vikrell is Sterling by Kohler's proprietary material — a reinforced composite molded under heat and pressure in a single piece. It carries the manufacturer's limited warranty on the manufacturer's terms.
