1. Nature of Service
Showerly LLC (“Showerly,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) provides custom shower remodeling services including tub-to-shower conversions, walk-in shower installations, and glass enclosure installations in the Raleigh-Durham Triangle area of North Carolina.
2. Service Agreement
These terms apply when you (“Client,” “you,” or “your”) request a quote, schedule a visit or hire Showerly. The agreement for your project is the written quote you sign: its scope, price, payment schedule and terms. If anything on this page differs from your signed quote, your signed quote controls.
3. Payments & Deposits
Payment Structure
Payments follow milestones: 40% deposit when you sign, 30% the day demolition starts (or the day work starts, on jobs with no demolition), and 30% after your final approval. Showerly does not offer financing or credit.
Deposits
The 40% deposit is paid when you sign. We do not order materials or start work until your 3-business-day cancellation period ends, and if you cancel within that period we return everything you paid, including the deposit, within 10 business days. If you cancel after that period, we return your deposit minus the cost of materials already ordered for your project that the supplier will not take back and of any work already done, and we show you the receipts.
Scope-Locked Pricing
Once a proposal is signed, the price is locked. It changes only through a written change order that you approve before the extra work is done.
Payment Methods
We accept Zelle, Check. The methods available for each invoice are listed on the invoice.
4. Your Right to Cancel
- 3 business days: You may cancel your signed quote without any penalty or obligation until midnight of the third business day after the day you sign (business days are every day except Sundays and federal holidays). Your quote includes the Notice of Cancellation, in two copies, with the exact date.
- How: Mail or deliver the signed Notice of Cancellation, or any other written notice, to the address on your quote, or use the cancel button in your customer portal before the deadline.
- Refund: We return everything you paid within 10 business days after we receive your cancellation.
- Rescheduling: You can move a scheduled start date at no charge. Please tell us at least 48 hours before.
5. Client Responsibilities
- Access: You must provide clear and safe access to the work area on the scheduled date.
- Accurate Information: You agree to provide accurate information about the scope of work and existing conditions.
- Utilities: Electricity, water, and other utilities must be available at the work site.
6. Lead & Asbestos
Homes built before 1978 may have lead-based paint, and older materials may contain asbestos. If your home was built before 1978, or we find material that may contain lead or asbestos, we pause that part of the work, tell you in writing, and continue only with the method the law requires. If that changes the price, it is done through a change order you sign. Please tell us about any testing or known hazards in your home.
7. Scope Changes
Any change to the agreed scope after you sign is made through a written change order that shows the new price. No extra work is done until you sign it.
8. Communications Consent
By sending us a request, you agree that we may contact you by phone or email about that request and your project. Text messages are separate: we text you only if you check the text-message consent box on our form.
Text Message Communications
Text messages may include:
- Appointment reminders and scheduling confirmations
- Project updates and status notifications
- Updates about your request
Message Frequency
Message frequency varies based on your project status. We do not send promotional text messages. Message and data rates may apply.
Opting Out
- You can opt out of text messages at any time by replying STOP to any message.
- You can opt out of marketing emails by clicking the unsubscribe link in any email.
Consent to receive communications is not a condition of purchasing services. For complete SMS terms and our text messaging policy, please see our Privacy Policy – SMS/Text Messaging Policy.
9. Warranty
Showerly warrants its own installation workmanship for 1 year. Work done by others — including work another contractor left unfinished — is not covered. Warranty details are provided in your project closeout package. This warranty does not limit any rights you have under North Carolina law. For full warranty terms, visit our Warranty page.
10. Limitation of Liability
- We are responsible for the work we do. We are not responsible for conditions that existed before we started and that we did not cause, such as hidden water damage, rot or structural problems; if we find one, we stop, show you, and any repair is quoted through a change order.
- We are not responsible for delays caused by material shortages, supplier issues, weather or other circumstances beyond our control. We tell you as soon as we know.
- Except where the law does not allow it, we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages. Nothing in these terms limits liability for our negligence or willful misconduct, or any right you have under North Carolina consumer-protection law.
11. Dispute Resolution
If something goes wrong, tell us first: most problems are solved by talking. If good-faith negotiation fails, we both agree to try mediation in Wake County, North Carolina, before going to court. This does not stop you from filing a complaint with a government agency.
12. Modifications
We may update these terms. Changes are posted on this page with a new date and apply to quotes signed after that date. Your signed quote keeps the terms version printed on it.
